Representative Jean Farmer-Butterfield Presents a Legislative Advocacy Session

Representative Jean Farmer Butterfield presented today on Legislative Advocacy. This presentation went over the ins and outs of Advocacy 101. She highlighted the importance of telling your personal story as it relates to legislation. She detailed the "dance of legislation" or how a bill becomes a law! (How many of you are humming the School House Rock song right now?) Then there was an interactive mock Senate floor debate on a fictional Senate bill. Mock Senate debate was fast and furious and the bill passed.
